The project « We are the Europe – Euroscepticism? No thanks (WEET) » was funded with the support of the European Union under the Programme "Europe for Citizens"

Applicable to the Strand 2 – Measure 2.1 "Town-Twinning”

Participation: The project “We are the Europe - Euroscepticism? No thanks ", which sees the Municipality of Sulmona (Italy) as coordinator, is born from the will of the latter, and from that of the Municipality of Šumperk (Czech Republic), to face and understand the delicate and worrying phenomenon of Euroscepticism. During the events organized, which saw the direct participation of 228 citizens, of which 200 came from the city of Sulmona, and 28 from the city of Šumperk, the central theme of the debate was Euroscepticism and its possible consequences to the detriment , above all, of the young generations. The secondary themes, on the other hand, were Europe and its integration path, European funding opportunities for young people and businesses, the challenges of climate change and migration to be faced as a European Community and not as individual states. The meetings took place in Sulmona (Italy) from 11/03/2019 to 03/15/2019.
